About you
Humanist weddings cradle meaning & create memories unique to you.

Too often the wedding ceremony is considered The Bit To Get Out Of The Way. It gets something of a bad press, and I can understand why! The words and format have been witnessed many, many times before, and, because of that, guests hear rather than listen (while cocking an ear for the muffled champagne corks being popped in the next room). That’s simply not good enough!
Your wedding ceremony should reflect the amazing people you are, and that takes time, skill, love – and me.
“Nat was the best celebrant we could have asked for: a cheerleader & hype lady with emotional intelligence & gravitas. Thank you Nat - we love you!”
– ALEC & NAOMIMy aim is to make your ceremony the
most enjoyable, most personal, & most memorable part of your wedding day.
Choosing Nat as our celebrant was the best decision we made in our wedding planning. We've never met anyone with such a passion for celebrating relationships & love!

We meet, with no obligation.

Four months before your wedding day, we begin our creation process in earnest. We meet again, and I drink in the tiny details of your relationship, your humour, your values. I also ask for written homework, and we WhatsApp, Zoom, email, hang out in person – whatever best suits your lifestyle. The ceremony develops and crystallises with true collaborative input from all three of us.
This process is a hugely enjoyable experience, and a big part of what makes a humanist ceremony so special. As we all get to know each other, the script organically grows, whilst also giving you a valuable opportunity to really consider what is important to both of you in your relationship. I always learn a bit about myself in these moments too! It’s a truly human process, and is both uplifting and grounding all at once.

On your wedding day, I will arrive at your venue in plenty of time, making sure that you and the people with significant parts to play in your ceremony are comfortable and clear in their roles.

We chat to get to know each other, and for me to get a sense of the kind of ceremony that you would love. If you like the cut of my jib, there’s hugs all round, and we get cracking…! Even before we officially begin our process, I will be researching elements that would be perfect for you two, and unashamedly stalking you on socials. I’m fully invested in your love story from the get-go!

I advise having one ceremony run-through before the big day, whether at your venue or elsewhere. I know sometimes it’s hard to find time for a rehearsal, but it really does make for a more relaxed and joyous ceremony, allowing you to be more present in the moment without worrying about what’s coming next, where to stand and all that jazz. It also gets you very excited for what’s to come…!

Want to know more about our ceremony creation process?

Nat was quite literally the most perfect celebrant we could have asked for.

My partner and I knew from the start that we wanted a humanist ceremony, and also wanted to intertwine elements from the different cultures we identified with in some way (Indian, British, Irish and French). What we didn’t know was exactly how we were going to do that!
Nat worked her magic wonderfully, guiding us, giving us ideas, and really learning everything about us to make it as uniquely us as possible, which it totally was! It ended up being our favourite part of the day, and we’re so glad that we had Nat play such a key role in our wedding – she is an absolutely wonderful human, and now a great friend!
